An Intresting Layout Concept from Design Commission

Last week, Blake showed me a really cool site from Design Commission, an interactive firm in Seattle. I’d never head of them before, but the concept their site is built around is so elegant and balanced, I thought it was worth sharing. The navigation of the site floats above the bottom of every page, yet its really easy to use and never gets in the way. With the navigation out of the way, the rest of the pages can be laid out more like a printed catalog. ItsĀ  a nice concept that makes a great impression. Whenever we take on a web project, its a struggle to deliver work that is functional and fresh. My hat’s off to anyone that can develop a truly unique direction without compromising function. Their portfolio of work is impressive too. Well done Design Commission!
