This fantastic photo for Vanity Fair was shot by Annie Leibowitz in 1999 following Lance Armstrong’s first Tour de France win. I’ve never seen a more creative depiction of an athlete under immense pressure. Last month Lance officially announced that he will return to professional racing in 2009. Its great to hear that we’ll get to see a little more from one of the most inspiring athletes of all time.
