Obsessions Make My Life Worse and My Work Better

In September 2008 Stefan Sagmeister’s design cult participating in their second Urban Play event. The public art installation consisted of 250.000 eurocents placed on the floor, covering more than 300sqm on a square in Amsterdam. The coins spelled out the sentence “Obsessions make my life worse and my work better”. A complete description of the project is recorded on their detailed blog full of facts, photos and video.

It’s tough to get perspective on the photos at first, but this is a birds eye view of an enormous open area. You can see tiny people walking around and the first floor of a building to the left. You can see more photos in the obsessions Flickr group.

Thanks to the Oberholtzer Blog for the tip.
