Hurricane Ike hit Texas with both barrels a few weeks ago. Lucky for us, Dallas is far enough inland that all we got was rain. Our Texas brethren on the gulf coast weren’t so fortunate. Crews are still working day and night to get the lights back on, clean water flowing, and streets clear. When it is safe for residents to drive back home, one household is going to be pleasantly surprised:
