Quote of the Week: John C. Maxwell on Contentment

Contentment is taking your present situation whatever obstacle you are facing, whatever limitation you are living with, whatever chronic condition wears you down, whatever has smashed your dreams, whatever factors and circumstances in life tend to push you under and admitting you don’t like it but never saying I can’t cope with it.

—John C. Maxwell on Contentment

With large financial institutions collapsing along with the stock market, it may seem the economy couldn’t get any worse. However, there are businesses out there doing quite well. American Apparel, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Aeropostale are all having great years. The economy will rebound soon enough. Now is the time to focus inward and investing in strategy that is measured against results. In lean times, it helps to know what’s working to bring the best customers to your door and what’s not. Anyone can build a successful marketing program during a booming economy. It takes a smart one to build it during weak times.
