Quote of the Week: James Bell on Vision

To face tomorrow with the thought of using the methods of yesterday is to envision life as a standstill. Each one of us, no matter what our task, must search for new and better methods–for even that which we now do well must be done better tomorrow.

—James F. Bell on Vision

There is a flurry of speculation around how businesses should use social media.
“Is Twitter good for your business?”
“How to increase sales through your blog”
“Facebook helps customers connect with corporations”

Whether these current technologies will actually add value to businesses remains to be seen. But the key is people recognize that it is no longer business as usual. You can’t simply have an attractive storefront and wait for customers to walk in. Your brochure website will no longer satisfy today’s customers. To stave off irrelevance, we must continually look for new ways to connect with our customers.
