Photo of the Week: Collecting stamps from the Soviet Empire

I’m a big mid-​century futur­ist geek so Sput­nik fix­tures, rocket shaped kitchen prod­ucts, and space aged design pat­terns have a spe­cial place in my heart. I ran across this East­ern Euro­pean stamp set the other day and was blown away. The layout and the colors are just too cool. We may have come along way in the past 40 years, but there are some things that were per­fect back then.
