I have no doubt that as the years go by and the honors pile up we’ll get a little more humble about being honored in shows, but right now please bear with us while we tell you about every last one of them.
A few weeks back, we received word that our first three design projects were all accepted into the DSVC Professional Show. These projects include the new Andrews Distributing logo, the 30th Anniversary Book for the 500X Gallery, and a logo for Hoffman Karlsson Photography Studio.
From the DSVC Website:
The DSVC Professional Show is one of the preeminent creative competitions in the country, showcasing the very best of the past year’s accomplishments in design, advertising, photography, and illustration.

The DSVC show was judged independently by five designers from around the country with expertise in branding, typography, illustration and web development. They come from prestigious firms including Pentagram, VLM, and Design Army. I’m not telling you this to impress you, I’m just trying to prove that we didn’t pay anyone off.
In addition to being included in the show, the judges selected a few pieces to be honored with gold, silver and bronze awards. Those awards will be presented at the banquet on June 7th. We’re not holding out much hope, but we’ll go just in case. (open bar)
*Update* We went to the show over the weekend, and while we didn’t receive any further honors, it was a great party. We were proud to see our work displayed along side the best of the year. Our congratulations to all the winners. We’ll see you next year!
We’ve entered this work in a few other contests so our fingers are crossed for a little more love on a national scale in the near future.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I am really happy about the recognition on these three projects. I was lucky enough to see some of the work that lead up to the finished projects and it all was very impressive. My favorite of the three is the 500x Gallery Book. I request another blog post showing off the Hoffman Karlsson logo design and the gallery book.
Also the Site looks great and happy to see the blog up and running. Looking forward to seeing where the company travels and what it accomplishes. As is shown by this post you guys are off to a great start!
