3 projects done, 3 projects honored. Not a bad start!

I have no doubt that as the years go by and the honors pile up we’ll get a little more humble about being hon­ored in shows, but right now please bear with us while we tell you about every last one of them.

A few weeks back, we received word that our first three design projects were all accepted into the DSVC Pro­fes­sional Show. These projects include the new Andrews Dis­trib­ut­ing logo, the 30th Anniver­sary Book for the 500X Gallery, and a logo for Hoff­man Karls­son Pho­tog­ra­phy Studio.

The DSVC Pro­fes­sional Show is one of the pre­em­i­nent cre­ative com­pe­ti­tions in the coun­try, show­cas­ing the very best of the past year’s accom­plish­ments in design, adver­tis­ing, pho­tog­ra­phy, and illustration.

The DSVC show was judged inde­pen­dently by five design­ers from around the coun­try with exper­tise in brand­ing, typog­ra­phy, illus­tra­tion and web devel­op­ment. They come from pres­ti­gious firms includ­ing Pen­ta­gram, VLM, and Design Army. I’m not telling you this to impress you, I’m just trying to prove that we didn’t pay anyone off.

In addi­tion to being included in the show, the judges selected a few pieces to be hon­ored with gold, silver and bronze awards. Those awards will be pre­sented at the ban­quet on June 7th. We’re not hold­ing out much hope, but we’ll go just in case. (open bar)

*Update* We went to the show over the week­end, and while we didn’t receive any fur­ther honors, it was a great party. We were proud to see our work dis­played along side the best of the year. Our congratulations to all the win­ners. We’ll see you next year!

We’ve entered this work in a few other con­tests so our fin­gers are crossed for a little more love on a national scale in the near future.
